No Community
Left Without
Power

Did you know?

0.15% of revenue from all Malaysian listed companies

will power every unelectrified community in Malaysia.

Malaysia is often seen as a
fully electrified country.

But the reality is that over 600 communities still live

without reliable access to electricity

This is not just an infrastructure gap.

It is a question of whether
entire communities are able to
participate fully in modern life

To date, this work has reached

0
communites

households

supporting locally managed systems that communities can operate and sustain over time.

These efforts have shown that decentralised, community-based approaches are not only viable —
they are often the most appropriate solution
for last-mile electrification.

Over the past few years, we have worked alongside these communities to deploy small-scale, community-governed renewable energy systems.

The challenge now is not
whether this works.
It is whether this can be
scaled with intention.

Reaching the remaining unelectrified communities across Malaysia will require more than isolated projects. It calls for long-term collaboration across the private sector, philanthropy, and implementation partners — combining different forms of capital, expertise, and commitment.

We are beginning to engage a small group of organisations who are interested in helping to close this gap — not as a one-off contribution, but as part of a broader effort to ensure that no community is left without power.

Different parts of this work will require different kinds of support — from catalytic funding to enable early-stage deployment, to longer-term partnerships that can help scale and sustain systems across regions.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a tangible, nationwide outcome:
ensuring that every community in Malaysia has access to reliable electricity.

We would welcome a conversation to explore whether this effort might align with your organisation’s priorities.
